It’s wonderfully geeky, but if anyone out there happens to be in Victoria, BC, I will be attending a Slashdot 10th anniversary party on the 19th. It should be loads of fun, and possibly a little silly.

Reader Mail!
I almost never get reader mail anymore, so this is something special for me. The reader mail said (in a long and roundabout way): “Where the hell is the Panda book?!” The Panda Book, for those of you who don’t care, is the third book in the Pig/Crow/Panda trilogy. I don’t know if you can really call it a trilogy since they don’t really relate. Anyway, there’s no really exciting news as of yet, but I hope to have something on that front soon.

My quest to utterly destroy ZCC is starting to take shape… I’m working on what amounts to an activity book for kids based around open culture and the “naturalness” of sharing. At some point in the near future, I hope to have a bit of a plan to ask for contributions from far and wide… but at the moment, it’s just an outline. If anyone out there has ideas, email me or write in the comments.

The Happiest Days of Our Lives
Wil Wheaton’s new book is called The Happiest Days of Our Lives, and it started shipping today or yesterday or something around “now”. If you haven’t read Wil’s books, do so now. They’re not Star Trekky, they’re very good. Order das booken nowzen!
