Wow, time really flies. It’s been a very long ten years since we premiered A&K to a very tiny group of people. I meant to spend my May “other” time re-writing the script properly, but I guess I shoulda written it down somewhere. Yeep. Aside from the venerable Gups, I haven’t kept in touch with anyone that was involved in that movie. So on this otherwise-unimportant anniversary, I want to deliver a fantastically big thank you to Ben Clost, Mindy Rocque, Blake Hargreaves, Sarah Tombler, CJ Schneider, Christie Watson, Robin Cunningham, Kenneth “Dave” Leavitt and the rest of the musicians and crew that made the beast come to life. If any of you come across this post in the future, this is me saying hi in the least interactive way possible.
It’s not easy doing something redesigning Slashdot, so I chickened out and just polished it. I was getting the feeling that airy white Web 2.0 designs were getting better receptions, so I took at crack at it.
I’m using my Vector revision hours on this, and I don’t know why. I need to schedule more hours in the day for “other” stuff.
Anyone that’s seen A&K knows my affinity for PSB… but I haven’t bought any CD music for years, so I’m falling behind in my quest to buy all their stuff. Anyway, I just got this forwarded to me by the Admiral, and damn it’s good. Little Britain is great on its own, but this pairing, and the lyrics, and… yeah. Weep, I do, with joy.
This probably won’t be a working embed for long, so enjoy it while you can…
I’ve only got another week to work on this particular project, so I’m working overtime to put all the bits in place. Here is the cover to the book… a mixture of vector and photoshopped elements… feels nice and desolate, which is exactly what I need. My alternate cover is just a set of winding concrete staircases, crumbling apart, with the logo big against them. Not sure which is better.
