Fun with Blender by in 1889 / April 25th, 2006
I suck at 3D quite spectacularly. Back in the mid-90s I did a short video in Infini-D on my beige Mac (they were all beige then) that was fun and silly but horribly bad. I never got the hang of it. I’ve been working at Blender since it was liberated in 2002ish… I first noticed it as DSR was somewhat wrapping up, and thought if I could just figure it out, I’d be able to do cool things! Yay!
Yeah.
Not as easy as all that.
So I’ve been working at doing an XR-22 of my own, just to see if I can. And thus far, not too shabby. Of course it’s very hacked together, probably done 900% wrong, and I bet I can’t rotate the various parts without it breaking. But it’s the thought that counts, right? Ha.
This is where I am right now. I’ve got to figure out texturing before I can do much more.
